Chocolate Brownie Rolls

Ingredients:

For the Brownie:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

For the Filling (Optional):

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

• Melt butter and mix it with sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
• Add cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until well combined.
4. Bake the Brownie Sheet:
• Pour the batter onto a lined and greased baking tray. Spread evenly to form a thin layer.
• Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes. The brownie should be slightly underbaked.
5. Prepare the Filling:
• Mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Form the Rolls:
• Spread the filling over the warm brownie.
• Carefully roll the brownie while it’s still warm, using the parchment paper to help lift and roll tightly.
• Chill the roll in the refrigerator until firm, then slice into spirals.
