- 3 eggs
- 120 g of sugar
- 2 vanilla sugar
- 100 g of cooking chocolate
- 60 g of plum (or apricot) jam
- 100 ml of oil
- 350 ml of orange juice
- grated orange peel
- 100 g of strong flour
- 1 baking powder
- 30 g of cocoa
- 180 g of ground walnuts
Preparation
melt the chocolate in the microwave or on a steamer and let it cool a little.
Mix the eggs with sugar and vanilla until the mixture turns white and doubles in volume.
Then add the rest of the ingredients in order: melted and cooled chocolate, jam, oil, juice and orange peel. Mix everything together. Note: It is recommended to use freshly squeezed orange juice, but store-bought orange juice can also be used. The choice is yours.
At the end, add the remaining dry ingredients: flour, baking powder , cocoa and ground nuts and mix everything well with a mixer into a smooth, uniform mixture.
